Can I Help Diabetes Research With a Car Donation?
The American diabetes Association accepts used-car donations. They accept vehicles of all types including ones that do not run or need excessive work to be roadworthy. This organization does suggest calling to inquire before committing to donation as the car’s value must be great enough to offset the cost of towing the vehicle.
Donations are accepted in all 50 states typically they are processed within 3 to 4 business days and depending on time of year and location. Proceeds from car donations are used to fund research, information distribution, and advocacy programs to raise awareness for the Association.
Diabetes is a disease which forces the body to not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is our bodies hormones that are needed to convert sugar and other foods into energy needed to perform life’s daily tasks.
Diabetes affects roughly 7.8% of our population. That is approximately 24,000,000 adults and children in the United States alone. If you are looking to donate your vehicle where it will make the most impact, you would be hard pressed to find a more needy organization

The organization is 57 years old and has been supported by more than 1 million volunteers in the United States. There is also over 14,000 physicians, nurses, scientists, pharmacists, social workers, educators and other healthcare professionals. The Association has local and regional offices in more than 800 communities in all 50 states including the District of Columbia.

Did you also know that the occurrence of one of its life-threatening complications including blindness, kidney failure, amputations, and heart disease or stroke often leads to the diagnosis?
