The Purple Heart is a non-profit organization that has been serving veterans for more than 75 years. They accepted more than half a million vehicle donations during that time. If you’d like to help a family in need, check out 1-800-Charity Cars. They provide donated vehicles to families who need transportation to get back on their feet. They also promise that you’ll receive the full “Fair Market Value” tax-deduction if they can use your vehicle for a family in need.
If you wish to help multiple charities through one catch-all organization, then check out America’s Car Donation Center. They provide support to such charities as the Cancer Research Institute, the San Francisco SPCA, American Red Cross and various other organizations. There are many other charities that will also accept your used car donation. Such charities include Goodwill and Salvation Army.
